SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS

  1. The show will be held under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club Limited.
  2. The show will be held at the Naas Raceourse Kildare on Saturday 21th May 2022. Judging will commence in all rings at 12 noon.
  3. No claim will be considered in the event of an exhibit being late for its class. No persons will be allowed into the judging ring except the Judge, Show Officials, or an exhibitor taking a dog in for adjudication. The exhibit number of each dog much be clearly displayed by its handler.
  4. In the event of any appointed Judge failing to keep his/her appointment, the Committee reserve the right to appoint another Judge or Judges.
  5. The Committee reserve the right to alter the proposed order of judging if this should become necessary.
  6. Entry Fees: First dog €26.00 / Stg£24.00. Each subsequent dog: €15.00 / Stg£10.00. Online entries will be taken until midnight on 7th May, 2020 at onlinedogshow.
  7. The Committee reserve the right to eject any entry, advert or other insertion in the Catalogue.
  8. Ineligible Entries: a transfer of an incorrect entry as to the sex or breed is allowed if reported to the Secretary’s Office prior to commencement of judging. A dog entered in a Class for which is it not eligible may be transferred to the Open Class in that breed, but in no other respects.
  9. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this Show must be registered at the IKC Ltd, Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6
  10. A Judge will be empowered to withhold any prizes of Green Stars if, in his/her opinion, the exhibits are not of sufficient merit.
  11. The Catalogue will be available online FREE
  12. The Catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the Committee cannot accept any responsibility or mistakes, which may bring exhibitors within the purview of the IKC Ltd, Rule 15, Section 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation.
  13. The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the show.
  14. The Promoting Body shall be the Show Committee and all disputes shall be dealt with by the Show Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal to the IKC Ltd.
  15. Any exhibitor found not cleaning up after their dog will be liable to a 50€ fine.

Note: Addition to IKC Rule 7, Section 1 Re: registration of dogs entered
Failure to comply with the above will result in
(a) the dog being disqualified from the event, and
(b)the exhibitor being find €130
The implementation of which shall be a normal (IKC) Office routine

CLASS DEFINITIONS

In the following definitions any award which counts towards the title of Champion under the rules of any Governing Body recognised by the Irish Kennel Club will be regarded as the equivalent of a Green Star. Similarly, the title of Champion is continued as if it were attained under the rules of the Irish Kennel Club:
A Puppy Class is confined to dogs of 6 months and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
A Junior Class is confined to dogs between 9 and 18 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
An Intermediate Class is for dogs between 15 and 24 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
An Adult Class is confined to dogs of over 24 months and under 36 months of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
An Open Class is for dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
A Champions Class is for dogs who have gained the Title of Champion under Irish Kennel Club Rules or under a recognised Kennel Authority confirmed by the date of closing of entries.
A Veteran Class is for dogs over 8 years of age on the day of the Show computed from and inclusive of the date of its birth.
NOTE: (a) a Veteran dog/bitch who is also a Champion may be entered in either Veteran or Champion but not both. (b) a Dog or Bitch may be entered in one breed class only.
A Neuter Class is for sterilised dogs over 4 months of age on the day of the show. Neutered dogs are confined to this class and may not compete for any other award other than Best Neuter in Show.

 All dogs entered must be registered or transferred at the Irish Kennel Club in the name of the exhibitor

GREEN STAR CHALLENGE

 

At National All Breed Ch. Shows, Group Ch. Shows and Breed Club Ch. Shows. All CLASS WINNERS graded EXCELLENT or Puppies VERY PROMISING may challenge for the Green Star.
Best Puppy, Best Junior, Best Veteran will be judged after Best of Breed.

 

Introduction of Judges

Mr. Glenn – are Haglind (Norway):
We are delighted to introduce Mr. Glenn – are Haglind from Norway. He is a successful and popular breeder/exhibitor of Dobermann Pinschers, and became and International FCI Judge in 2015. He was born in Norway in 1980, and has grown up around dogs, he got his first dog a, German shepherd in 2002, and in 2003 his first Dobermann. In 2007 his first Doberman litter arrived with the kennel prefix V. Nobel Line. They have had great success in their breeding programme and been awarded breeders of the year in their breeds for many years in Norway. Dogs from their breeding programme can be found in many parts of the world from Brazil in West to Indonesia in East.  2015 was a marvellous year for them, achieving World winner & Idc-Siegerin and Best of Breed at Bundessieger with both the Dobermann and Miniature Pinscher.  We look forward to welcoming Mr. Haglind to judge for us at our show.

Mrs. Marian Campbell (IRE):
We are delighted to welcome Mrs Marion Campbell to judge at our first championship show. Marion acquired her first Boxer in 1982 and began exhibiting and later breeding a Champion Boxer. Her first Boston Terrier came in 1996. Currently she has made up 26 home bred Champions, and 30 Champions, overall. Three of her home bred Boston’s have attained a GB Championship title. She has been active on breed club committees over the years and currently is Chairwoman of the All Ireland Boston Terrier Club.

She first awarded Green Stars in Boxers in 1998, currently she is qualified to judge Groups 1, 2 & 9 at CACIB level. She has judged Best In Show at All Breed Championship Shows, the latest of which was the IKC International in October 2019. She has awarded CC’s in Boxers and Boston’s’ on several occasions in the UK.. She has also judged in Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Estonia, Australia and New Zealand.
