Your first show?
Please do not hesitate to enter your dog to the "amateur class", if you do not want to go with the "profs", but would like to try showing him/her!
This is the best opportunity to do the first steps in the show ring, no stress, no competition, only you, your dog and the judge. And maybe, the next step is showing your dog in one of the "professional" classes?
Your dog is neutered or has some fault which keeps him/her out of breeding?
Or simply the coat is not in the perfect show condition?
In these cases, the amateur class is perfect for you, too!
How is our amateur class going to be?
Our amateur class will be judged just like the "professional" classes:
- You can enter any dog with an FCI pedigree from 3 months on, no upper age limit.
- you get a "critique" (description of your dog according to the breed standard),
but:
- there will not be a "grade" (no "excellent", "very good" etc),
- no placement (no winner and no loser)
- and no awards (CACs),
- and the dogs do not compete for titles as "best of breed".
Good luck and have a nice show!
